Screening a film from Switzerland called Tambour Battant (2019), or Roll the Drum!, is a Swiss comedy set in 1970, following a small village divided by a bitter rivalry between two brass bands led by Aloys and Pierre. As the groups compete for a spot in a final contest, their conflict mirrors social tensions over women’s suffrage and immigration.
